Do you ever act like a complete idiot in public??? [[LONG]]

I had a physical therapy appt today at the VA hospital. (BTW, phys therapists are sadists who seem to enjoy hurting people) when I got done being beat up in PT, I took a number for the pharmacy and went outside to smoke. with my music on shuffle, I found myself listening to I Like the Way. I started singing out loud (both headphones in at full volume- it must have sounded like someone was raping a cat.) people started lookin at me funny, then applauding.

I stopped & went inside, then as I waiting for my number to be called, Nine In the Afternoon came on. evidently, I was singing and dancing right there at the pharmacy window in front of 100 people. I cant believe nobody told me to shut up. in fact, there was a 14-16 y/o kid there with his dad- he decided to sing the end of NITA with me. it was kinda fun, so I kept going after I realized everyone was watching me. after the song, everyone applauded & cheered, so I took a bow. the guy at the coffee counter gave me a free latte & a blueberry muffin. I gave the latte to the kid because I don't drink coffee. one guy threw his hat down and there was $3.11 in the hat when we were done singing. I was amused by that, but gave the money to the blind man sitting near the Rx window.


all in all, it was a memorable/humorous situation. I realized something about myself, too. apparently, I lack the good sense to be embarrassed by things that would humiliate most people. can't decide if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

I humiliate myself usually by being clumsy.

I have gotten a little too into a song while in my car and gotten stares...

most of the time i sing about love, and girl i know you want it, thats how i break it down for the ladies yah-yah. you feel me. here i go ha! doing the leg shuffle baby you kno it. thats how we stick it in this visit. pow there u go pow there u go

This was the VA, 100 people is a good day.
also, the pharmacy shares a lobby with the lab & administration services desk.

I didn't even realize I was singing until people started clapping along
& the old man threw down his Vietnam Vet hat down. it seemed to be
entertaining to them, and so encouraged me to continue.....so I did.
